Introduction
Thank you for signing up to Breathe Into Winter. For confidentiality reasons, and to protect those who attended in person, the workshop has been edited into two videos. The first is the reflective part where I invite you to journal on four questions. The second part is the recording of the Conscious Connected Breathwork session with visualisation at the end. Please make a cosy, private space for yourself to work through the different parts.
Part One - Reflections on Winter
“In our relentlessly busy contemporary world, we are forever trying to defer the onset of winter. We don’t ever dare to feel its full bite, and we don’t dare to show the way that it ravages us. An occasional sharp wintering would do us good. We must stop believing that these times in our lives are somehow silly, a failure of nerve, a lack of willpower. We must stop trying to ignore them or dispose of them. They are real, and they are asking something of us. We must learn to invite the winter in. We may never choose to winter, but we can choose how.”
Wintering, Katherine May

Before we start, what one word do you associate with winter?

Please gather a journal and pen and reflect on the following questions

Part Two - Conscious Connected Breathwork
Firstly, if you have not taken any Breathwork sessions with me before please stop and complete this important breathwork waiver form which gives clarity around contra-indications.

Before you start the Conscious Connected Breathwork session please make sure you are somewhere private and undisturbed. Wear your comfiest clothes, find yourself a bed/mat/sofa where you can lie flat. You may benefit from listening through headphones and covering your eyes with an eye mask. Make sure you have something warm, like a blanket, to pull over the body as you can experience temperature changes during Breathwork.
Do reach out to me if you have any questions before or after the Breathwork - info@sophiebrigstocke.com
To finish
I Invite you to reflect on the Breathwork journey and visualisation. What came up for you? How can you have radical compassion for yourself as you continue to journey through winter?

If you enjoyed the workshop I invite you to come and join me for more Breathwork sessions, workshops and retreats. All the information is on the website - www.sophiebrigstocke.com
